‘Soma’

5 times 21x30 cm, iron dioxide on Khadi cotton rag paper.

This series is based on the liquid called Soma, a moon milk made from the moon tree. This milk would open up the consciousness of the consumers, to show them the divinity of life itself. Choosing iron dioxide as a pigment, refers to the feminine aspects of this divine elixir, in the relationship it has to the moon and the menstrual cycle. Soma shows the trust that the Mother has in humanity, in which she provides them an opportunity to meet god through Soma, whilst showing them their own divinity as well.
